Nashville, Indiana

On Saturday we went to Brown County, Indiana and went to Indiana's largest State Park. It was gorgeous there. The leaves are just starting to change, Sam took this picture in the park. I so hope we can go back here some day and spend a few days. They had little cabins you can stay in. It looks like SO MUCH FUN.

The start of the Park has a GORGEOUS covered bridge. The Amish use to do their courting under the cover bridges. So there is an old folktale that goes something like this: If the Bride and the groom kiss under the covered bridge their marriage will be blessed. Well Sam and I are not that dumb... We need all the blessing we can get.

After the park we went to Nashville, Indiana.. Yep Indiana. It was a great town very much like Utah's Park City...HOWEVER. We went on Saturday afternoon and talk about PEOPLE. Tons and Tons of PEOPLE all over, bikers, babies, families, people, people, people. Sam and I are not huge crowds kinda folk. So it was a great fun town and I would love to spend a lot of time there but NOT on a Saturday afternoon.
I could not resist adding the "chicken hat" picture. It was taken in one of the cute (BUSY) shops in Nashville. Sam cut off the entire head of the picture but come on you have to admit its kinda fun!!!
Side note: Saturday morning at 6:30 am Sam and I were up VERY early that morning (we had some "activities" to take care of in the morning *wink) and we decided to go on a walk. We walked out the door and we spotted a hamburger joint called White Castle. Well Sam seemed to get all giddy about White Castle and it was open at 6:30 a.m. so we headed in for hamburgers and fries, and big red (another childhood memory of Sam's). At White Castle you get these tiny hamburgers for .59 cents each. They are the strangest thing ever. We got a "happy meal" kinda thing that came with 4 little hamburgers with this spam like meat on them. It was a fun morning but I have to admit.. REALLY STRANGE concept of hamburger and serving them at 6:00 a.m.. As for the "Big Red" it's red cream soda but with a really cool after taste and it has caffeine in it.. Makes it all the better!!
